Helping people identify and manage personal financial risks that may impact their quality of life provides Ed Fedun of EFI Financial Associates a lot of satisfaction, even after more than three decades in the industry.

Ed assists his clients with financial planning, lifestyle planning and estate and succession planning, while specializing in personal risk management. He works with clients to identify their personal risk management priorities, provides clients with information so that they may make informed decisions, establishes a plan to meet their objectives and manages programs that can deliver the desired results at time of claim.

"I listen carefully to understand what people want to have happen in their lives," Ed says. Everyone’s opinions, dreams, views, and concerns are different. His duty is to understand their objectives and provide information which will enable clients to make informed decisions in regards to the management of their personal affairs.

In addition to the service he provides his clients, Ed is also an active member of the Calgary community. He has been active with the Kiwanis Service Organization for 22 years and served as President of the Calgary Kiwanis Music Festival and on the board of Kiwanis International. "It's been a very rewarding experience," he said.

Understanding and constant learning are the keys to Ed's success and those are traits he helps pass on to his clients. "The constant in what I do is change so it is really important to keep up to date." Ed believes that people are more interested in “how much you care” rather than “how much you know”.
